Maegan Lovell, LMHCA (she/her)
Being a person in the world today is hard. You might be feeling overwhelmed and stressed. You might be feeling stuck, depressed, or weighed down. Perhaps you have difficulty identifying how you even feel in the first place. Learning how to cope can sometimes seem like an impossible undertaking, but I know that together we can explore ways for you to feel more aligned and energized.
I know it can be difficult to find a therapy relationship that feels like a space where you can be vulnerable. I approach our work together with humor, warmth, and realness that I hope will create an authentic space for healing and growth. Clients who work best with me are those looking to connect more deeply with themselves, and who hope to have some fun along the way.
My approach to therapy
I work individually with adolescents and adults both in person and virtually. I practice using a collaborative, intersectional mindfulness-based, and trauma informed approach. Theories I draw from include: dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Knowing that each person is unique, I adapt my approach based on you and your specific goals. I believe that together, you and I can create a space that is authentic and connected, while also focusing on creating meaningful change in your day to day life. I hope to provide tools and support to help you gain clarity, communicate more effectively, have healthier boundaries, and reduce stress and anxiety.
