“I believe that the greatest gift I can give my clients is to help them become aware of their own internal resources.”
- Virginia Satir
Maybe you've experienced a recent loss, are struggling to adjust to a new phase of life, or are working through conflict in your relationship. It can be exhausting to manage this on your own. I'm here to listen and believe that therapy can be a space where you can explore your own experience without the pressure to say the "right" things. I see the therapeutic relationship as a partnership where you and I are working together as a team. You bring your knowledge of yourself, and I will help you leverage this, while providing new ideas and support to help you reach your goals.
My approach to therapy
I work with teens 13+, adults, and couples, in person and virtually. I gravitate towards a Solution-Focused and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy approach. For couples, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. In therapy we will help you identify your own inherent value, strengths, and the best next steps to reach your goals. I embrace a systemic perspective, meaning that I always consider relational, cultural, and environmental contexts. I work best with clients who are open to hearing a new perspective, welcome curiosity, and are willing to have an occasional laugh in session. My hope is that you will walk out of session feeling challenged at times, while also feeling supported, relieved, with a greater sense of comfort and meaning in your life.
