“Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.”
- Soren Kierkegaard
I believe in empowerment and self-compassion as pillars for change and growth. Whether healing from past traumas, facing current anxiety and stress, or clarifying which direction you want to head in life, we can work as a team to find the tools best suited for your health and well-being.
We’ll be a great fit to work together if you’re interested in building insight into your emotional experiences and relational patterns and then directly applying that insight to make changes in your day-to-day life. Together we will move through a safe space for healing and create a plan for you to take actions towards values that matter to you most. We can also explore existential themes in the therapeutic space, such as how you make meaning, and how you see yourself through narratives and identity.
My approach to therapy
I offer in-person and virtual sessions, with a preference for in-person therapy whenever possible, and am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I work primarily from an ACT lens, utilizing a mindfulness-based approach, as well as from nervous system-informed lens using Polyvagal Theory. In our sessions, we will explore the relationship between emotions and the body, identify needs and values, and find ways to express yourself effectively in relationships to get those needs met.
My background in music and art has taught me to fully respect the power of creation and expression. I hold a non-judgmental stance as we honor your voice, your experiences, and your values. I believe that the first step in healing is showing up, and I look forward to working with you.
