“I finally stopped avoiding fires long enough to let myself burn, and what I learned was that I am like that burning bush: The fire of pain won’t consume me. I can burn and burn and live. I can live on fire. I am fireproof.” - Glennon Doyle

You might be feeling stuck in your life, discouraged or dissatisfied. This can show up as uncertainty about yourself, feeling anxious or depressed, and having a hard time coping with life’s many challenges. The pain and fears that led you to seek out therapy come out of stories and experiences that shape how you view yourself and the world.  I seek to help you connect with your experiences, stories, and emotions to deepen your understanding of your world, build self-trust and acceptance, and find ways to chart a path forward.

Therapy is a safe space where you can show up wholly yourself and be met with acceptance, support, and respect. It can be difficult to figure out where to start, what you’re needing, or even how you really feel. The good news is that you don’t have to figure it out on your own! Together, we can discover areas to focus on and understand better in order to help you create the change and balance you want to see in your life.

My approach to therapy

I work individually with teens (13+) and adults virtually via telehealth. My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative, using an emotion-focused, trauma-informed, and attachment lens. I draw from various therapeutic orientations including systemic and experiential therapies, narrative therapy, and family of origin work. Therapy is not always a one-size-fits-all, so I adjust my techniques and modalities depending on what works best for you.

In our work together, we will foster authenticity and abundance: authenticity that comes with being fully integrated with all different aspects of yourself (neat and messy!), and abundance that comes with a life full of meaning and perspective. I enjoy working with clients who are curious and reflective, as this sets up a collaborative and intentional experience. My hope is that no matter what present issues you are facing now, through therapy you will be able to have a deeper appreciation of your life and realize the inner resilience and worthiness you already have.
